This volume presents one of the five pirate emperors ruling the seas after the Cataclysm. It details Valen, the Black Flame, along with his ships, crews, and methods of controlling the mysterious White Sea, a fog-covered region filled with ancient horrors and supernatural threats. Valen seeks not power, but destruction, leaving eternal fire in his wake.
