Escape the Dark Castle

Players portray wrongfully imprisoned characters attempting a desperate escape from a grim castle. Each character has a custom die representing three traits—Might, Cunning and Wisdom—and a character card that tracks health and abilities. Play proceeds by revealing illustrated chapter cards that represent chambers, encounters and choices; 15 chapters are drawn to form a unique castle each game. Chapters present mini-games and decisions—skill tests, push-your-luck rolls, combat or social options—and the group decides who turns the next card and how to approach each situation. Players cooperate using character dice, item cards, and resources to overcome enemies, traps and challenges; all characters must survive to clear the deck and defeat the final boss.
