Hammer of the Scots

A block-and-map wargame that recreates the Anglo-Scottish conflict of the late 13th and early 14th centuries. Players command forces and seek the allegiance of noble houses across a full-color map of Scotland and northern England, maneuvering leaders, knights, archers and infantry represented by wooden blocks. Event cards introduce historical incidents; scenarios let players choose a full campaign or shorter setups focused on key phases of the struggle. Victory is achieved by controlling nobles and territory through military actions, political influence and maneuvering over a multi-hour play session.
