Interceptor Ace: Volume 2 – Last Days of the Luftwaffe, 1944-45

Command a German day fighter squadron during the final months of the air war over Europe, flying sorties from one of several regional base groups to intercept incoming American bomber raids and their escorts. Play proceeds in multi-day turns: check weather and incoming raids, take off, fly to intercept zones, engage in multi-round combat, and return to base for landing, debriefing and crew advancement. Individual aircraft stats, weapon systems, damage, and crew members are tracked, and pilots earn prestige and experience to buy skills, request transfers or new fighters, and gain awards. The solitaire-focused system includes 38 flyable aircraft types, wingman mechanics, and options for cooperative or competitive multiplayer. Gameplay emphasizes career progression and survival amid escalating 1944–45 operational challenges.
