No Retreat!: The North African Front

A two-player operational wargame set on the North African campaign from Operation Compass in 1940 through the Axis evacuation of Libya in 1942, with an optional bonus mini-game covering the Invasion of Crete. Players command Axis and Allied forces represented by division- and corps-level counters, use event cards and supply points to activate maps, build momentum, replace losses and launch maneuvers. Combat is resolved through a card-assisted, maneuver-and-combat system that links five regional "mini-maps" where local battles play out and control of one map forces action onto the next. Includes multiple quick scenarios, a tournament scenario, a full campaign and a separate Crete airborne scenario. Play typically lasts ~50 minutes per scenario or several hours for the campaign.
