Rise of the Luftwaffe

A World War II tactical air-combat card game that models close-range dogfighting without maps or hexes. Players manage a hand of maneuver and fire cards to reposition, attack, or interrupt an opponent’s action; opponents may immediately counter with their own cards in a back-and-forth until one player stops the exchange and the last card played determines the outcome. Each aircraft has stats—draw rate, hand size, and fire power—that govern card draw, hand limits, and damage potential, with hand size representing an aircraft’s momentum. Individual dogfights run about six turns (~15 minutes), and linked campaign scenarios let players string missions into 2–3 hour operations.
