Sixth Fleet: Modern Naval Combat in the Mediterranean

Simulation of near-future naval combat for control of the Mediterranean Basin. Players command opposing fleets and allied forces, organizing ships into Task Forces to hunt enemy capital ships and submarines while protecting supply and replenishment vessels. Each 8-hour turn is resolved in three distinct phases (sub, surface, air); players take turns choosing which phase to conduct and then execute movement, detection attempts, and attacks for that branch. Aircraft perform bombing, anti-ship and anti-sub strikes, and interceptions, while ships and aircraft reveal enemy units by proximity and subs require detection rolls. Additional elements include commando, parachute and amphibious assaults, optional nuclear and logistics rules, and multiple scenarios ranging from short introductory battles to extended, multi-hour campaigns.
