The Castles of Burgundy: 1st Expansion – New Player Boards

Four double-sided player boards that replace the standard personal boards and impose a stricter tile-placement rule. Players still place tiles adjacent to existing tiles, but every placed tile must now form a continuous connection to at least one castle by sharing the same color, either directly or indirectly through a chain of like-colored tiles; different colors do not count. New castle tiles are exempt from this connectivity requirement and may be placed as before. The set also adds an optional recovery action: by spending both dice actions and 5 victory points, a player may reclaim a previously set-aside castle tile (green or black-backed) into their reserve for future use.
