The Great Battles of Alexander: Deluxe Edition

Recreates the campaigns and major engagements of Alexander’s wars and the Macedonian approach to battle across ten historical scenarios. Players command ancient armies—Macedonians, Greeks, Persians, Scythians, Indians, Illyrians and Danubian tribes—using a corps- and brigade-level system where units represent roughly 100 men per strength point and each turn covers about 20 minutes. Third-edition rules introduce specialized command mechanics (wing, contingent and restricted line commands), shock cavalry formations, cataphracts and war elephants, and expanded leader options. Play uses large full‑color maps, hundreds of counters, scenario and rule books, and player aids for tactical maneuvering and command control.
