The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game – Nightmare Deck: The Hunt for Gollum
A standalone Nightmare Mode expansion that reconfigures the matching cooperative quest into a harder, darker version. Players face revised encounter decks with twenty new encounter cards, a Nightmare Mode setup card that instructs which original cards to remove, and an additional rules card that changes how the scenario plays. The contents increase threat from more dangerous enemies, harsher locations, and scenario twists that force players to adapt tactics and resource use. It integrates with the base quest to present a more punishing, puzzle-like challenge for existing decks and groups familiar with the original scenario.
