The Lord of the Rings: The Mines of Moria

Players reenact the Fellowship’s descent into the dwarven underground and the climactic Battle of Balin’s Tomb through a guided tutorial campaign. The set teaches rules gradually with a 32-page Beginner’s Guide and a full core rules book, and uses plastic miniatures for the Fellowship and multiple goblin foes plus modular terrain pieces to build the Mines in three dimensions. Gameplay focuses on scenario-driven movement, ranged and melee combat, and tactical use of terrain as players apply learned mechanics in a final scripted encounter.
