Heroscape Marvel: The Conflict Begins

Miniature skirmishes between teams of comic-book heroes and villains on a modular, stackable terrain board. Players build battlefields from hex terrain tiles, set up scenarios (objective, elimination, holdout, reach a space), then field squads of figures represented by cards that list movement, attack/defense dice and wounds. Movement is measured in hexes; combat resolves by rolling attack and defense dice and applying wounds. A basic ruleset omits special powers for simpler play, while the master rules add special abilities, wounds, engagement and falling rules and a draft-based army-building phase to meet scenario point limits.
