No Peace Without Spain!: The War of the Spanish Succession 1702-1713

Two-player card-driven wargame that recreates the War of the Spanish Succession on a point-to-point map. Players use a single deck of cards to activate corps for movement and sieges or to trigger historical events; each turn equals one year and each corps represents roughly 10,000 men while leaders represent major commanders and their staffs. Battles resolve with an intuitive system that emphasizes combined command and leader ratings for Tactical and Command influence. Fortresses and sieges play a central role via a simple siege table that allows for varied resistance. Victory is determined by control and victory points, with automatic and end-of-game VP conditions.
