The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game – Nightmare Deck: Celebrimbor's Secret

This expansion recasts a specific scenario into a harder, darker Nightmare Mode by replacing certain encounter cards with new, more punishing ones. Players explore the ruins of an elven smithing site to locate an abandoned ring mould while a named enemy and its orc allies conduct a parallel search. Locations that the enemies explore receive damage and, when sufficiently damaged, get placed beneath a special card that accelerates the players’ threat each round. The deck adds new encounter cards and effects that increase pressure on exploration and force quicker, more urgent actions from the player-controlled heroes.
