Ticket to Ride: Europe

You may draw two train cards on your turn; if you take a face‑up locomotive as your first draw you cannot draw a second face‑up card (drawing a locomotive from the face‑up display ends your draw). Locomotives are wild and can substitute for any color when claiming routes. (pages 3–4)

Gray routes can be claimed with a set of cards all of the same color (you may use locomotives as needed). On double‑routes (two parallel tracks between the same cities), both may not be claimed in 2–3 player games — only one of the two may be used. (page 4)

When claiming a tunnel you play the required cards, then reveal the top three cards of the draw pile; for each revealed card that matches the color you used (or is a locomotive) you must play one additional matching card or locomotives to complete the claim, otherwise you return your played cards and the route is not claimed. Ferry routes show locomotive symbols on the spaces and require you to include that many locomotives among the cards used to claim the route; those locomotives count toward the route’s total cost. (page 5)

You may build up to three stations by discarding 1, 2, or 3 cards (any color) to place a station and thereby use one other player’s route into that city for your network instead of building your own; any unused station at game end scores +4 points. (pages 6–7)

When any player begins their turn with two or fewer train pieces remaining the final round is triggered: every player (including the one who triggered it) gets one last turn, after which final scoring (tickets, stations, longest path, and route points) is performed. (page 7)
