3rd Fleet: Modern Naval Combat in the North Pacific, Caribbean, and Atlantic Oceans
Simulation of 1980s–90s naval combat across three separate theaters: the North Pacific, the Caribbean, and the eastern Atlantic. Players command surface ships, submarines, and aircraft, with each unit rated across ten combat factors to reflect modern capabilities. Gameplay resolves air strikes, missile exchanges, torpedo attacks, and defensive measures as opponents try to protect their forces while inflicting damage. Scenarios support two-player and solitaire play and offer a range of optional rules and strategic choices for varied replay.
