The Notification System

A bell icon in the top navigation shows your unread count at a glance. Tap it to see your 10 most recent notifications in a dropdown, or visit the full Notifications page to browse your entire history.

Notifications sync across all your devices in real time. Mark one as read on your phone, and it updates on your desktop instantly.

19 Notification Types

Notifications are grouped by what triggered them. You'll receive updates about:

Social

  • Play tag — someone tagged you in a live play or play log
  • New follower — someone started following your profile
  • Mention — someone mentioned you in a comment or post
  • Content like — someone liked your post or review
  • Content comment — someone replied to your post or review

Events

  • Nearby event — a new event was created within your geographic radius
  • Event interaction — someone joined, commented on, or modified an event you're attending
  • Event reminder — your upcoming event is starting soon

Groups

  • Nearby group — a new group was created within your geographic radius
  • Group interaction — someone posted, joined, or took action in a group you're in

Marketplace

  • Inquiry — someone asked about one of your marketplace listings
  • Reserved — someone reserved an item from your listing
  • Delivered — a transaction you're part of was marked delivered
  • Completed — a transaction finished (both buyer and seller confirmed)
  • Rated — someone rated you after a transaction
  • Match — a new listing matches a game on your wishlist
  • Expiring — one of your listings is about to expire
  • Expired — one of your listings expired

System

  • Monthly plays summary — your monthly play statistics are ready (sent on the 1st of each month)

Delivery Channels

Choose how you receive each notification type: Email, Mobile Push, In-App Only, or Disabled. Change your preferences anytime in Settings > Notifications.

Note: Marketplace notifications (Inquiry, Reserved, Delivered, Completed, Rated) are transactional by nature. They follow your account-level system defaults and cannot be individually configured. Make sure notifications are enabled if you're selling.

Geographic Radius for Nearby Alerts

Notifications about nearby events and groups use your profile location. Set your radius to one of:

  • 2 km (local neighborhood)
  • 5 km (default)
  • 30 km (regional)
  • 100 km (wide area)

Update this in Settings > Location & Privacy.

Managing Your Notifications

Mark as read: Tap a notification to navigate to its content and automatically mark it as read. Or use the quick-view dropdown to mark notifications read without navigating.

Mark all as read: On the full Notifications page, use the "Mark all as read" button to clear your inbox at once.

Customize by type: In Settings > Notifications, toggle each notification type on or off, and choose your delivery channels.
