Ludoya puts you in control of what's public and what's private. Every piece of your data—from your profile to your plays—has its own visibility setting. You decide who sees what.

The Four-Tier Visibility System

Every privacy-sensitive area of your profile and activity can be set to one of four levels:

  • Anyone: Public to the entire Ludoya community
  • Friends only: Only people you mutually follow
  • Group members only: Only people in groups you're both members of
  • Only Me: Only you can see it

What You Can Control

These areas each have their own visibility setting:

Profile

Your profile header (avatar, name, bio, location).

  • Anyone: Everyone sees your profile
  • Friends only: Only mutual follows see it
  • Group members only: Only group mates see it
  • Only Me: Your profile is hidden (people can't find you by search)

Cascading rule: If your profile is private, all sections below are hidden regardless of their individual settings.

Collection

Your list of owned games.

  • Anyone: Everyone can browse your games and see who owns what
  • Friends only: Only mutual follows see your collection
  • Group members only: Group mates can see what games you have (great for coordinating group events)
  • Only Me: Only you see your collection

Plays

Your play history and logs.

  • Anyone: Everyone sees what you've played, with scores and photos
  • Friends only: Only mutual follows see your plays
  • Group members only: Only group mates see your plays
  • Only Me: Your play history is private

Note: If you set plays to Friends only or Group members only, other players still see themselves in shared play sessions—they just don't see you in their history view.

Statistics

Your play stats (total plays, most-played game, favorites, streaks, etc.).

  • Anyone: Public stats visible on your profile
  • Friends only: Only mutual follows see your stats
  • Group members only: Only group mates see your stats
  • Only Me: Only you see your stats

Messaging

Who can send you direct messages.

  • Everyone: Anyone on Ludoya can message you
  • People you follow: Only people in your Following list can message you
  • Group members: Only people in your groups can message you
  • No one: Direct messaging disabled for you (you can still message others)

Separate toggle: Direct message email notifications (see Notification Preferences below).

Play Tagging

When you're added to a play log by another player, your permission level controls whether you're tagged and visible:

  • Anyone: Anyone can add you to their plays and you'll be tagged publicly
  • Friends only: Only mutual follows can tag you in plays
  • Group members only: Only group mates can tag you in plays
  • Only Me: No one can tag you in plays; you must log plays yourself

Event Invitations

Who can invite you to events.

  • Anyone: Anyone can invite you to their events
  • Friends only: Only mutual follows can invite you
  • Group members only: Only people in your groups can invite you
  • No one: You can't be invited (self-join only)

Seat Reservations

When event organizers use venue floor plans with table spots, who can see your reservation.

  • Anyone: Everyone sees which table you're at
  • Friends only: Only mutual follows see your seat
  • Group members only: Only group mates see your seat
  • Only Me: Only you and the organizer see your seat
