Dungeons & Dragons: The Legend of Drizzt Board Game
A cooperative adventure for 1–5 players set in the Dungeons & Dragons fantasy setting. Players take on ready-made hero characters and explore modular dungeon layouts created by laying out tiles during play. Encounters are generated from cards and resolved with a twenty-sided die while miniature figures represent heroes and monsters on the board. Scenarios present objectives such as escaping, rescuing allies or defeating a looming threat, and success or failure is shared by the group. The game supports integration with several other dungeon-crawl modules and skirmish packs for expanded content.

Rules questions
Answered from the rulebook by Ludoya's rules assistant.
Do I move by tiles or by squares? Can I move diagonally?
You move by squares: a Hero’s Speed is the number of squares you can move on a move action, and you spend 1 Speed per square moved; you may move diagonally when counting squares. When a card or effect refers to tiles (for range or distance), you never count diagonally — tile counts are straight lines only. (see pages 6, 8, 9)
When do I add a Cavern tile and place Monsters?
During your Exploration Phase, if your Hero occupies a square along an unexplored edge you draw a Cavern tile, place it with its triangle pointing to the unexplored edge, then draw a Monster card and place that Monster on the new tile’s mushroom patch. (see page 7; triangle placement on page 6)
When do I draw Encounter cards — and what about tiles with black triangles?
You draw and resolve Encounter cards during your Villain Phase; specifically you draw an Encounter if you didn’t place a Cavern tile in your Exploration Phase or if you placed a Cavern tile that has a black triangle. Encounter cards are applied immediately when drawn. (see pages 8 and 6; encounter details on page 12)
If I defeat more than one Monster in the same turn, how many Treasure cards do I draw?
You draw at most one Treasure card per turn regardless of how many Monsters you defeat that turn. (see pages 10 and 13)
How do attack rolls work — when does an attack hit?
For each target roll the die and add the power’s attack bonus; an attack hits if the roll plus bonus is equal to or greater than the target’s Armor Class. (see page 10; AC explained on page 6/9)
What happens when my Hero is reduced to 0 Hit Points?
When reduced to 0, keep the figure knocked over (cannot take further damage or use powers) and at the start of that Hero’s next turn they must spend a Healing Surge token to recover Hit Points equal to their Surge Value; if no Healing Surge tokens remain the Heroes lose the adventure. (see page 10)
